Urk, eat some delicious fish at the harbour

Urk is a lively and characteristic fishing village. Something you absolutely should experience. A former island. A picturesque village where you can still experience that island feeling with a walk through the maze of alleys in the old village centre, where every house is different. Surprising vistas, cosy squares, characteristic facade signs and the many elegant decorations with anchors and boats. A guide will take you along the most beautiful spots on a hike through the streets.

Don’t worry, with the help of the detailed navigation card you will certainly find your way back.

Canoeing from Kalenberg through the Weerribben

The best way to explore this beautiful area is by water. There are places in Kalenberg where you can rent a kayak or canoe (including Café Restaurant de Weerribben). There are two routes that you can follow in the area. The Kalenberg route (8 km) and the Weerribben route (14 km). These routes will show you everything the Weerribben has to offer.
