Renovation

From monday the 10th of September ’t Voorhuys sustains a renovation of the entrance, elevator, front office, lobby and Torenzaal.

As a guest you will experience any annoyance during these weeks. Of course we try to minimize this to your convenience, unfortunately we cannot promise you will not notice any construction sounds. Moreover the elevator will be out of service for a couple of weeks and the entrance will be through the restaurant.  The renovation continues until the 1st of November, if you have any questions, please contact the front office (which will be situated next to the bar in the restaurant)

Welcome to the English version of our website. 't Voorhuys offers a well balanced combination of authentic cuisine, coffee and drinks, entertainment, performing arts, conference rooms and quality accommodation. 't Voorhuys is a place in the heart of the Noordoostpolder where people and possibilities meet. We represent personal hospitality and have the potential and the intention to make your stay most enjoyable. 't Voorhuys is located in the centre of Emmeloord on a large square with sufficient free parking.

Rooms
Our hotel rooms are decorated with a classic interior and a friendly atmosphere. They are designed to make you feel more than comfortable, almost as if you were at home.  We have 24 rooms that are equipped with double beds and a bathroom. We host one spacious bridal suite with a jacuzzi. All rooms have telephone, TV,  Internet connection and wireless Internet facilities (Wi-Fi). We aim for the best result and pay attention to detail and represent the quality and comfort of the Best Western Hotels. We offer various special offers and arrangements. For instance a professional beauty programme or a combined trip to the world heritage site Schokland. Dining

Our restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience. Our chef recently won an award for creative originality during the cookery competition "Smakelijk Flevoland". That our kitchen crew take their jobs seriously is perhaps most clearly reflected in our menu. We are keen on creativity, classic taste, international flavour and regional ingredients. We use products that are seasonal, fresh and authentic.
Coffee and drinks Our grand café with sun lounge and terrace is open all day. It is a comfortable space that tempts one to enjoy coffee, drinks, lunch, antipastos or appetizers. Although it is sometimes referred to as the city's living room, its atmosphere feels somewhat metropolitan. It is a meeting place for young and old alike.

Film

Of course there is a television in your room, but if you would like a bigger screen, we can provide one. From our hotel you can walk straight to our cinema without leaving the building. We screen the newest releases, sneak previews and art house features. The cinema has its own website.
Performing arts You may enjoy international cultural performances in our theatre, situated a mere five minutes away from your room. National and international professional productions in theatre, ballet, cabaret and music are staged live almost every night. The theatre has its own website.

Around and about

The Noordoostpolder is worth seen. But what you don't see is probably most impressive: skies where water once dominated. Our hotel is the perfect base for day trips. By bicycle for example. Tour through patchwork landscapes rich in nature, water and small beaches. Visit  typical fishing villages, the world heritage site Schokland or nature reserve the Weerribben. The Aviodome, the Batavia shipyard or even Walibi World guarantee numerous entertaining options, although many see the tranquillity of this rustic area as the most valuable key element. Done with below sea level scenery? Why not go shopping? The local shopping area starts when you step out the door.

Conference rooms

We offer a comprehensive range of services that will help support your business goals and festive events. We have a variety of intimate meeting rooms, break out rooms and large conference areas. All are fully equipped to facilitate meetings, conferences, presentations, parties and events. We have a total of six rooms that can accommodate between 10 and 500 people. The combined capacity is 900 people. It goes without saying that we provide a range of banqueting, buffet or business diner options.
